my name is Ines and I from Spain, and this is is a atory of how I ends living an amazing experience here at Tipi Algarve.
All started two months ago when my friend Uliana and I we decide to get out of the city, where everything is always the same, just a cement jungle.
We signed up in “workaway”
and sent a lot of applications. The first place in replying us was a “glamcamp”
in south of Portugal TipiAlgarve, so we decide to come here in a first place.
After one day of
travelling we were waiting for Calvin in the gas station near the place
and he showed up in his red Volkswagen
van with a big smile on his face, a very nice beginning.And what about first impressions? We wasn't expect to find that piece of paradise! Is so green in here, the best views we could imagine and a beautiful star-filled night sky.
So here we are, in a such nice place with a very friendly group of volunteers.. We are six volunteers in here, Joe from Tasmania, Kevin and Josephine from Berlin and Mickey from Ireland. There a lot of work to do until opening the season, the new swimming pool, the garden and the most important, to set up the tipis.
We having a really good time here at Tipi Algarve, working during the mornings and going for a walk and spending time together learning from other cultures in the afternoons.
It's a very good experience, I'm learning a lot from Sam and Calvin and I really enjoying the work. This has just started but I'm sure that I never going to forget that trip.
So here it ends, we have a lot of work to do in this green paradise. If you are reading this I only can say that this place is full of magic and you should came here to see it yourself, as a guest or as a volunteer as well.
